Where to hide a tattoo!
Why should you hide your tattoo, you ask? You don’t! This blog is only for the people that either wants to hide their tattoo because of their family/friends, workplace, or maybe they want to keep it hidden from the world as if it was their own little secret. There are many reasons why one would want to hide a tattoo and all are completely fine. Everyone is different! If you want to hide your future tattoos... please continue reading.
Small tattoos:
Small tattoos are probably the easiest tattoos to hide, so no worries here! You can hide them:
Behind the ear
Behind the neck
In between fingers
Inner lips
On your feet
Upper (inner) thighs
Upper (inner) arms
Buttocks
Ankle
Ribs
I know, there are so many places to hide a tattoo! Your mom will never find out... just kidding. One thing you do need to know about smaller tattoos is that, yes they are easy to hide, but it’s recommended to not get a very detailed design. Since these tattoos are considered small, if you get a detailed tattoo design, in 5 years from now all those small lines will most likely fade into each other and the tattoo will become unreadable... bummer!
*Side note: please do keep in mind that lip, finger and feet tattoos tend to fade the quickest.
Med/large tattoos:
Medium to larger tattoos, however... will be more difficult to hide. Don’t worry! I said more difficult, I didn’t say impossible! These tattoos can definitely be hidden, you just have to think about the placement more. You can hide larger tattoos on:
Back area
Upper thighs
Upper arms
Sternum
Rib area
I know, I know, there aren’t that many places to hide your larger pieces but at least there are some! If you do want a larger piece on your arms or legs, please consider where the piece will stop. You are able to cover the piece with clothing and the remaining can just be skin!
Alternatives to hide them:
I know not everyone wants to hide their tattoos and they really want their tattoos to be seen but unfortunately, they aren’t able to because either their family or their workplace won’t approve of them. Do not worry! You can still get your body tatted up and still be able to cover them so simply!
Makeup:
Makeup is one of the most common options for hiding or covering up things on your body. There are some makeup brands that are specifically formulated for covering up tattoos.
You can definitely try to research some brands and find some you think can work for you and your skin type!
All brands are different when it comes to texture, price, range of shades... etc.
Makeup is an effective way to cover up tattoos when you really need to nail that job interview!!
Nude Bodysuits:
Bodysuits are also recommended for covering up tattoos, mostly when your whole body is tatted up! Yes, it may sound uncomfortable, but the plus side is that you get to keep all of your beautiful large tattoos! Cool, right?
Consider the workplace:
Before you do decide to get hidden tattoos, consider where you will be getting these tattoos and consider your workplace. Yes, even today the stigma associated with tattoos still exists, despite how common tattoos are in modern culture. Tattoos are more socially acceptable, but we are still fighting the stigma!
